Overview
Kitagawa NorthTech, Inc. is a global leader in workholding solutions for lathes and turning centers. The Lathe Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC and/or manual lathes to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC and/or manual lathes.
- Interpret technical drawings and select appropriate tooling.
- Perform measurements and quality checks.
- Make necessary adjustments to ensure accurate output.
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet safety, quality, and delivery standards.
- Document work accurately and adhere to safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings.
- Proficiency in machine operation on CNC and/or manual lathes.
- Experience in milling is considered beneficial.
- Skills in routine maintenance of machining equipment.
- Prior experience in precision machining, metalworking, or manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of measurement tools and quality inspection practices.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials safely.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machining is a plus.
