Overview

Kitagawa NorthTech, Inc. is a global leader in workholding solutions for lathes and turning centers. The Lathe Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC and/or manual lathes to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC and/or manual lathes.
  • Interpret technical drawings and select appropriate tooling.
  • Perform measurements and quality checks.
  • Make necessary adjustments to ensure accurate output.
  • Carry out routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet safety, quality, and delivery standards.
  • Document work accurately and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency in machine operation on CNC and/or manual lathes.
  • Experience in milling is considered beneficial.
  • Skills in routine maintenance of machining equipment.
  • Prior experience in precision machining, metalworking, or manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of measurement tools and quality inspection practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials safely.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machining is a plus.
