Austin Industrial is an industry leader providing maintenance, construction, and soft craft services to industrial companies across the U.S. The Furnace Technician role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various furnace systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on chemical and thermal carburizing, nitriding, and vacuum furnaces.
• Diagnose and repair electronic/electrical systems, including 480V systems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install equipment, including motors and pneumatic & hydraulic components.
• Discuss malfunctions and machine operation variations with operators and supervisors to diagnose problems.
• Read wiring diagrams, schematics, and manuals to repair equipment.
• Repair and troubleshoot refrigeration systems.
• Generate and process work on a computerized maintenance management system.
• Perform Lock Out Tag Out and comply with Austin’s Safe Work Practices.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License required.
• Associate's degree or greater required.
• Over 5 years verifiable electrical and mechanical experience required.
• Proficient with 120VAC, 240VAC, and 480VAC.
• Good problem-solving capability.
• Experience on forklift and scissor lift helpful.
• Must pass medical and background check.
