Overview

At Boeing, we innovate and collaborate to make the world a better place. This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units, which designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, estimate, sequence, and perform tasks in the weld shop.
  • Use various processes and equipment to fabricate tools.
  • Coordinate work with other employees and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Perform material preparation and various welding processes.
  • Ensure all welds meet industry standards.
  • Maintain weld certifications and perform routine machine maintenance.

Requirements

  • Must be willing and able to work any shift.
  • TIG welding experience with various metals preferred.
  • Production aircraft welding experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with AWS D17.1 and ability to follow engineering drawings.
