Overview

Servco Equipment Company is a local manufacturer in St. Louis, MO, specializing in custom commercial kitchen equipment and stainless-steel fabrication. They are seeking an experienced TIG Welder / Stainless Steel Fabricator for their production team, focusing on welding thin-gauge stainless steel and ensuring high-quality work.

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG welding on stainless steel components and assemblies (12–20 gauge).
  • Select appropriate welding procedures and techniques to ensure proper penetration, fusion, strength, and alignment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication prints, production orders, bills of material, and process sheets.
  • Fit-up parts using clamps and fixtures; maintain dimensional accuracy and alignment; spot weld/tack as required.
  • Weld and assemble parts into sub-assemblies or complete assemblies.
  • Inspect work for accuracy and quality prior to moving to the next step of manufacturing.
  • Support other shop areas as needed in a flexible team environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years welding experience (required).
  • 2+ years TIG welding experience (required).
  • Stainless steel welding experience (preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret complex drawings/blueprints.
  • Strong working knowledge of welding equipment, welding procedures, material characteristics, and basic metallurgy.
  • Proven TIG welding skill and familiarity with basic fabrication equipment/machines.
  • Ability to weld 12–20 gauge stainless steel with consistent quality.
  • Flexibility to work 1st shift, Saturdays, and overtime when needed.
