Overview

Ichor Systems has an immediate opening for a Welder in Sauk Rapids, MN, responsible for operating various welding machines and ensuring compliance with manufacturing standards. The company specializes in critical subsystems and turnkey process equipment, providing a complete outsourced solution from product concept to manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Run various welding machines including hand welding, TIG welding, and orbital welding.
  • Execute Ichor's Standard Operating Procedures related to manufacturing duties.
  • Study prints, drawings, and specifications to complete finished welds.
  • Process and inspect work according to prints.
  • Maintain performance levels for quality and quantity in operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Basic PC skills for manufacturing.
  • Experience in a high-purity clean room environment.
  • Mechanically inclined with visual acuity and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to handle fragile products and perform repetitive tasks safely.
  • Proficient in using hand gauges to inspect component quality.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings and documents.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to recognize deviations from accepted practices.
  • Basic understanding of mechanics, flow control elements, and MRP concepts.
  • 3-4+ years of manufacturing or related work experience, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
  • Commitment to quality and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Successful completion of a 2-year professional trade program in Welding Technology or equivalent, or currently enrolled.
  • Basic math, blueprint reading, and welding to print skills.
  • 3+ years of experience performing TIG welding of stainless steel or less experience with a Welding Technology degree.
