Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Mechanic to support a USDA-inspected manufacturing facility in Bartlett, IL. The ideal candidate will have experience with electrical machines and control systems in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food or pharmaceutical sectors.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair PLC-, HMI-, sensor-, and VFD-controlled equipment.
• Maintain and repair HPP equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues on production machinery.
• Maintain conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, compressors, packaging equipment, and air handling systems.
• Perform maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns.
• Maintain work orders, maintenance records, and spare-parts inventory.
• Support equipment installations, repairs, and upgrades.
• Work closely with production, sanitation, and quality teams.
• Support production-line activities when maintenance workload allows.

Requirements

• Previous hands-on industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, hydraulics, pneumatics, sensors, and automated equipment.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance needs.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and equipment troubleshooting.
• Food, meat, pharmaceutical, or USDA-regulated manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Experience with Siemens, Rockwell Automation, or Allen-Bradley is a plus.
• Technical degree or certification in Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or a related field is preferred but not required.
