Job Description

Overview

At STERIS, the Senior Maintenance Technician is a hands-on role that provides technical expertise in the maintenance, repair, and improvement of facility equipment in a validated cGMP environment. This position involves overseeing complex projects and processes, maintaining shop tools, and supporting management while promoting a Lean team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-line maintenance and support.
  • Troubleshoot new-to-production or unknown issues and quickly diagnose root causes.
  • Complete and update preventative maintenance system work orders.
  • Participate in the investigation of production-related problems.
  • Detect and report improper operation and faulty equipment.
  • Operate lifts, tow motors, jacks, and hoists as needed.
  • Assemble or modify fixtures, tooling, or equipment according to engineering sketches.
  • Set up, operate, and adjust production equipment when necessary.
  • Provide technical support for various audits.
  • Train peers on new equipment maintenance and safety procedures.
  • Create a positive work environment and maintain professional rapport with customers.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree or a minimum of 9 years of maintenance experience in lieu of degree.
  • 5 years of maintenance experience.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair machines.
  • Ability to perform preventative maintenance and document work in electronic tracking systems.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Previous SEBA experience.

Additional Information

  • Day shift Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm
  • Pay rate: $42-$50 depending on years of experience
  • This position is eligible for bonus participation.
