Overview

The Welder Senior - Night Shift position is a senior-level role responsible for completing routine welding assignments under moderate supervision, specifically focusing on vessel welding. The role requires proficiency in various welding processes and a commitment to safety and teamwork within Enerflex, a global provider of energy infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Complete routine welding assignments using metal core mig, tig, fluxcore sub-arc or stick welding processes.
  • Pass applicable tests and Non-Destructive Exams.
  • Weld brackets and braces, and use grinders.
  • Position pieces to be welded into jigs and holding fixtures using measuring instruments and hand tools.
  • Perform position welds on code materials.
  • Conduct quality x-ray and ultrasound tests on welds with minimal rework.
  • Operate flame and plasma cutting torches and automated equipment.
  • Read and understand blueprints and fit up pipe, flanges, etc. with minimal supervision.
  • Operate basic cutting equipment.
  • Promote and support safety, production, and a positive attitude.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop improved work processes.
  • Occasionally use office equipment such as copiers and telephones.
  • Operate heavy welding tools and forklifts.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and completion of Welding School preferred.
  • Knowledge of different types and sizes of pipe, structural and vessel materials.
  • Must pass a 3G test for vessel/tower or 6G test pipe.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • Certification to weld on pipe or plate preferred.

  • Work schedule is from 5pm to 5:30am.
  • Requires standing for at least 90% of the time.
  • Requires work in outdoor conditions and loud environments.

What you'll be running
