Midwest Compressor Systems is seeking a skilled Welder to support the fabrication and installation of industrial compressed air and vacuum systems. This hands-on role involves performing MIG/TIG and stick welding while ensuring adherence to safety standards and tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG/TIG and stick welding on piping, frames, and equipment components.
  • Read blueprints and weld symbols to meet tight tolerances.
  • Work closely with technicians on turnkey installations.
  • Conduct occasional field repairs at customer sites.

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG, TIG, and Stick work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle. TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process. It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
