Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join a well-established manufacturing company in the Itasca area. This is a direct-hire, 1st-shift opportunity offering competitive pay, long-term stability, and the chance to work hands-on with a variety of industrial manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical issues on production machinery
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment
  • Troubleshoot motors, VFDs, sensors, switches, electrical components, and industrial controls
  • Repair and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Work with conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, and other mechanical systems
  • Diagnose equipment failures and minimize production downtime
  • Perform equipment adjustments, installations, and component replacements
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals
  • Support preventive maintenance programs and maintain accurate maintenance records
  • Work closely with production employees to identify recurring equipment issues and improve reliability

Requirements

  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred
  • Experience maintaining equipment in a manufacturing, metalworking, fabrication, stamping, or similar industrial environment
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including 3-phase motors and 480V equipment
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, VFDs, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, and motors
  • Welding/fabrication experience is a plus
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment independently and work effectively in a fast-paced production environment
