Overview

We are seeking a MIG Welder to join a growing manufacturing operation in Richmond, IN, supporting the fabrication of steel components and assemblies. This hands-on production welding position requires the ability to read blueprints, produce consistent welds, and work independently while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding on steel parts and fabricated assemblies
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld specifications
  • Set up and operate welding equipment for production work
  • Inspect completed welds for quality and consistency
  • Use tape measures, gauges, calipers, and other measuring equipment as needed
  • Complete fabrication and assembly work according to production specifications
  • Maintain an organized and safe work area
  • Work independently while meeting daily production and quality expectations
  • Follow established safety procedures and manufacturing standards

Requirements

  • MIG welding experience or completion of a welding/trade school program
  • Experience welding steel
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Ability to pass a hands-on MIG steel weld test
  • Comfortable using basic measuring and inspection tools
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work independently
  • Strong attention to weld quality and workmanship

Additional Information

  • Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
  • Approximately 40–45 hours per week with limited weekend work
