Overview

Alamo Group Ag Americas, LLC. is seeking an experienced Welder to join their team in Selma, Alabama. The company is a leading North American manufacturer of agricultural equipment, known for its durable products.

Responsibilities

  • Weld non-critical fabricated parts and subassemblies as specified by blueprints.
  • Adjust and operate welding equipment to perform non-critical welds.
  • Maintain production quantities, efficiencies, and quality on welded parts.
  • Load fabricated parts or subassemblies into jigs and fixtures.
  • Prepare surfaces to be welded by grinding, buffing, or brushing.
  • Visually examine welds for adherence to blueprint specifications.
  • Maintain welding equipment and make necessary adjustments.
  • Load and unload fixtures.
  • Perform simple measurements using devices or gauges.
  • Skip weld designed parts to secure pieces for other welders.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 3 months to 1 year experience in welding required.
  • Ability to understand and follow simple instructions.
  • Capable of performing standard measurements.
  • Knowledge of basic procedures of MIG welding required.
  • Ability to lift, push or pull 50 pounds alone and 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Must be able to speak, hear, and see to perform duties.
  • Must be able to read blueprints with weld symbols and specifications.

Additional Information

  • Position is for 2nd shift.
  • Located in Selma, Alabama.
  • Will be exposed to a non-climate controlled manufacturing plant.
  • Must be able to stand approximately 8 hours per day.
