Overview

K2 is building the largest and highest-power satellites ever flown, supported by significant funding and contracts. The company is seeking a motivated Integration Technician to support satellite integration across the full vehicle lifecycle in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on assembly of the primary and secondary structure, including sheet metal panels, machined parts, and mechanisms.
  • Route, install, secure, and inspect avionics and power harnesses on integrated vehicles.
  • Install electro-mechanical components including mechanisms, avionics, power, and propulsion hardware.
  • Support propulsion system integration and high-pressure operations following released procedures and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing, test, quality, and design engineering to resolve hardware issues in real time.
  • Follow detailed work instructions and manufacturing procedures, performing all work in the MES system.
  • Support cleanroom final integration activities including payload integration, functional testing, troubleshooting, vehicle handling, and shipping preparations.
  • Practice 5S principles of organizing and sustaining an efficient and presentable workspace.
  • Provide consistent process improvement feedback to engineering and production leadership.
  • Occasionally support component assembly in sub-assembly stations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience assembling, integrating, and testing flight hardware in the aerospace industry.
  • Proficiency with computers and ability to use MS Office and shop floor management software.
  • Familiar with calibrated tools including multi-meters, calipers, torque wrenches, load cells, safety cable guns, and crimpers.
  • Demonstrated high level of ownership and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements.

  • Must be able to perform repetitive tasks such as bending or twisting, grasping, standing, lifting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, carrying, and use hands to operate tools or machine controls.
  • Must be able to lift and carry parts or equipment up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed.
