Overview

General Matter is a mission-driven company focused on enriching uranium in America to restore the nation's ability to produce nuclear fuel. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will design and implement manufacturing processes to transition from development to production, ensuring safety and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement scalable manufacturing processes to ensure reliable, safe systems.
  • Collaborate with design engineers and make recommendations for improved manufacturability, performance, safety, and cost.
  • Build, assemble, and validate prototypes, test stands, and development units.
  • Perform root-cause analysis on test failures and develop hardware mitigations.
  • Establish manufacturing and quality practices that scale with the company and through production phases.

Requirements

  • Evidence of exceptional ability through prior projects, portfolio of work, or completed products.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in manufacturing, development, or production engineering.
  • Proficient in a 3D CAD package and the ability to make manufacturing drawings using GD&T.
  • Hands-on experience building hardware.
