Overview

Medical Murray is seeking a passionate engineering student for an R&D Engineering Co-op/Internship in Fall 2027, offering a unique opportunity to work on real-world medical device projects that aim to transform healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Follow Quality Management System and Standard Operating Procedures for project compliance.
  • Engage in the development and engineering of disposable medical devices from concept to production.
  • Participate in hands-on product and process development, including design and prototyping of catheters.
  • Utilize SolidWorks to design devices and construct prototypes in a laboratory environment.
  • Collaborate on designing catheter-based delivery systems for various medical disciplines.
  • Support acquisition, setup, and qualification of new equipment and contribute to preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and customers about project status and issues.
  • Prepare and assist in product development and quality planning, including project schedules and budgeting.
  • Participate in feasibility and reliability testing plans for catheter systems.
  • Assist in the development of pilot and manufacturing equipment and procedures.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Familiarity with disposable design and development, materials knowledge, and prototyping is a plus.
  • Experience with SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience with CAD programs.
