Overview

Medical Murray is seeking a passionate engineering student for an R&D Engineering Co-op/Internship in Spring 2027, offering a unique opportunity to work on medical device innovation and contribute to life-saving product development.

Responsibilities

• Follow the Quality Management System and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure compliance with all projects.
• Engage in the development and engineering of disposable medical devices from concept to production.
• Participate in hands-on product and process development, including the design and prototyping of catheters and other disposable products.
• Utilize SolidWorks to design devices and construct prototypes in the laboratory environment.
• Collaborate on designing catheter-based delivery systems for various medical disciplines.
• Support the acquisition, setup, and qualification of new equipment, contributing to preventive maintenance procedures.
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers about project status and issues.
• Prepare and assist in product development and quality planning, including project schedules and resource allocation.
• Participate in feasibility and reliability testing plans for catheter systems.
• Assist in the development of pilot and manufacturing equipment and procedures.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Familiarity with disposable design and development, materials knowledge, and prototyping is a plus.
• Experience with SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Proficiency in MS Office and experience with CAD programs.
