Overview

PIRTEK Brooklyn is seeking a Hose Assembly Technician to provide hands-on service for hydraulic and industrial hoses across Brooklyn and the greater NYC area. This role involves real problem-solving and responsibility in a fast-paced environment where equipment downtime is critical.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a fully outfitted PIRTEK mobile service van across Brooklyn and the greater NYC area.
  • Respond to on-site breakdowns, routinely on an emergency basis.
  • Diagnose, replace, and install hydraulic and industrial hoses.
  • Work on marine equipment, tugboats, shipyards, construction equipment, and industrial machinery.
  • Be part of the on-call rotation, including nights and weekends.
  • Communicate clearly with customers about issues and solutions.
  • Keep your truck, tools, and paperwork organized.

Requirements

  • Enjoy working with your hands and solving problems.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Respect for processes that ensure safety and success.
  • Mechanically inclined with experience in cars, boats, heavy equipment, or machines preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to work in dirty, greasy, and tight spaces.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background and drug check.
