Overview

As a Maintenance Mechanic at Mauser Packaging Solutions, you will work with the maintenance manager and supervisor to complete building repairs, equipment installation, and troubleshooting while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Responsibilities

  • Work with little to no supervision.
  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and repair machinery such as slitters, collectors, high-speed welders, conveyors, and palletizers.
  • Install and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and other related equipment.
  • Perform building maintenance including minor plumbing, welding, and general upkeep.
  • Repair and assess electrical issues as they arise.
  • Familiarize yourself with the CMMS system and log labor/parts according to established expectations.
  • Be willing to work overtime, including weekends and off-shifts as required.
  • Participate in the on-call program and may be required to work additional hours on off shift due to on-call program.
  • Understand quality, PPE requirements, safety, and the importance of complying with safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical degree in maintenance-related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a maintenance mechanic in a metal manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice ISO9001 standards for metals manufacturing.
  • PLC experience preferred.
  • Experience with and ability to use all types of welding, cutting, machine, and hand tools preferred.
  • Experience in high-speed packaging, welding, and mechanical power transmission preferred.

Additional Information

  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Work environment may be noisy and hearing protection is required.
  • Employee will be working near and/or with high-speed automated equipment.
