Overview

ENERCON's Nuclear Design Group is a leader in the nuclear power industry, providing comprehensive engineering, licensing, and environmental services to support nuclear power plants worldwide. As a new graduate Associate Pipe Stress Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of critical piping systems.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and evaluate piping systems to ensure they can safely withstand pressure, temperature fluctuations, seismic events, and other operating conditions.
  • Collect field data and develop pipe stress models.
  • Perform engineering calculations.

Requirements

  • Graduated with a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an ABET-accredited school in Mechanical Engineering or Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Available to start on an agreed upon date between January 2027 and July 2027.
  • Preferred courses for Mechanical applicants include Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Material Science, Statics, Structural Analysis, Mechanics of Materials, and Engineering Mechanics.
  • Preferred courses for Civil applicants include Statistics, Structural Analysis, Mechanics of Materials, Steel Design, Concrete Design, Structural Dynamics, and Engineering Mechanics.
  • A solid working foundation with your major’s core concepts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
  • Ability to effectively problem solve.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders at client sites.
  • Must be able to effectively navigate client sites to conduct walkdowns.
  • Must be able to work outside.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for client and company projects and/or meetings.
