Overview

Home Chef is a leading meal solutions company that inspires and enables people to cook simple, delicious meals. The Maintenance Technician role involves conducting repairs and preventative maintenance on facility and production equipment during the 2nd shift schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts all work in accordance with safety practices and proper procedures.
  • Complies with environmental laws and regulations for chemicals and lubricants.
  • Performs routine safety checks on production equipment.
  • Services and maintains production-related equipment.
  • Installs new production equipment.
  • Provides guidance and training to machine operators.
  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals to troubleshoot and assess functionality.
  • Executes preventative maintenance plans on all equipment.
  • Maintains records of PMs and emergency work in the CMMS.
  • Identifies and communicates spare parts needs to the Maintenance Manager.
  • Coordinates work orders related to facility improvements and repairs.
  • Oversees contractors conducting facility repairs.
  • Documents work related to facility improvements in the CMMS.
  • Keeps the maintenance shop audit ready at all times.
  • Communicates proactively with the Maintenance Manager regarding spare parts.
  • Works under pressure during emergencies.
  • Prioritizes work orders to minimize impact on production.
  • Communicates progress and expected completion dates with management.

Requirements

  • General high school degree or equivalent (e.g. GED).
  • Minimum five years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 2 years of electrical or programming experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems required.
  • Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools and precision measuring.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical wiring repairs and installations.
  • PIT and scissor lift OSHA certification required.
  • Solid computer skills with ability to input/export information into a CMMS.

Additional Information

  • This role follows a 2nd Shift Schedule, working from 3:00pm - 11:00pm, with designated days off on Sunday & Monday.
