Overview

Pursuit Aerospace is a global manufacturer of complex aircraft engine components, committed to operational improvement and exceptional customer service. The Welder II - TIG will join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable materials using various welding techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Operate welding equipment to fabricate and assemble materials based on job specifications.
  • Set up welding equipment based on job specifications.
  • Maintain welding equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine specific welding requirements.
  • Check welds visually and dimensionally with precision measuring instruments for conformance to blueprints and specifications.
  • Manufacture and maintain component parts and fixtures as required.
  • Consistently maintain specific tolerances and accurately perform dimensions.
  • Check parts using specified gages or furnished fixtures to ensure dimensions are maintained.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Follow all applicable safety rules and precautions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years relevant experience working with a variety of metals, including Titanium metals.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
  • 5+ years relevant welding experience preferred.
  • Trade qualified with recognized apprenticeship preferred.
  • Professional welding certification preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints quickly and easily.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
  • Working knowledge of shop geometry and trigonometry.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
  • Detail oriented and thorough in work.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • In-depth knowledge of different welding techniques.

  • Location: Manchester, CT
  • This role will be onsite 100% of the time.
  • This is a second shift position, with core hours from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM.
