Overview

The Welder - 2nd Shift position involves TIG welding stainless steel parts with a focus on safety, accuracy, and timeliness. The role requires collaboration with various departments and adherence to quality control standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG welding based on product needs, including welding round and rectangular elements.
  • Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and other written instructions and diagrams.
  • Ensure knowledge of QC and product specifications.
  • De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture.
  • Conserve resources to ensure budgetary integrity and client satisfaction.
  • Follow welding safety procedures and use provided PPE.
  • Perform Substrate Assembly Technician duties as required.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • 1+ year(s) experience with metal working equipment in a metal fabrication facility.
  • Ability to work independently with little direct supervision.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to produce high quality products in a timely manner.
  • Proficient in the use of tools such as tape measure, calipers, forklifts, and cranes.
  • Welding certification is a plus.
  • Prior work experience as a MIG or TIG welder is helpful.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and heavier items with team lift.
  • Knowledge of safe workplace practices.

What you'll be running
