Overview

Brunswick is a global marine leader focused on innovation and next-generation technologies in marine recreation. They are seeking a WELDER / FABRICATOR with extensive knowledge in fabrication and welding to join their team.

Responsibilities

  • Support production as needed.
  • Participate in continual self-improvement and overall job knowledge enhancement.
  • Follow established safety protocols.
  • Use all fabrication and welding tools.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Welding Certification from an accredited college.
  • Respiratory Fit Test Certification or obtain within three months of hire.
  • Basic computer, math, reading, and measurement proficiency.
  • Ability to read drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, and LSS preferred.
  • Detailed and organized.
  • Self-starter and team player with good safety awareness.
  • Mig and Tig welding experience.
  • Ability to lift more than 50 lbs.
  • Ability to operate forklift and other heavy equipment.

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG and TIG work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle. It lays down metal fast and is forgiving on clean material, which is why it dominates production and light fabrication work. TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process. It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
