Overview

At Blue Origin, we are seeking a Pipe Welder II to join our Operations team, contributing to the development of reusable and safe space vehicles. This role requires technical expertise and a commitment to quality to ensure safe human spaceflight.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare weld joints by cleaning, fitting, tacking, and positioning parts according to engineering drawings.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical work instructions.
  • Perform GTAW welding in a manufacturing production environment.
  • Ensure welds meet NDT-quality standards and are inspected by methods such as X-ray or ultrasonic testing.
  • Use hand tools and precision measuring equipment effectively.
  • Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50lbs as required.
  • Pass a practical Weld Test in various positions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 4+ years of experience in GTAW welding.
  • Experience with NDT-quality welds.
  • Familiarity with Non-Destructive testing and quality policies.
  • Ability to perform welds on components subject to pressure loads.
  • Self-sufficient, self-starter, and driven.
  • U.S. person status as required by regulations.
