Job Description

Overview

SPX Flow in Delavan, WI is seeking a Certified Welder for a full-time, permanent position on the 1st shift. The company offers competitive wages, bonus potential, and a comprehensive benefits package effective from day one of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ASME and/or PED code specified welding using MIG and TIG processes.
  • Select proper tooling and fixturing required for welding jobs.
  • Set up welding machines according to Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) settings.
  • Inspect welds for defects and document any identified issues.
  • Make repairs to defective weld areas or materials as necessary.
  • Weld or repair broken and special fixturing and tooling.
  • Notify quality control and supervision of any defective parts.
  • Coordinate with production to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and safety procedures.
  • Prioritize workflow through effective communication with management and staff.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • May require obtaining NBIC CI certification.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Two years of related experience or technical school graduate specializing in welding.
  • Ability to complete all necessary TIG welder certifications.
  • Ability to read, write, and process instructions.
  • Must pass Welder Procedure Qualification (WPQ) testing requirements.
  • Must be able to read and understand basic manufacturing mechanical blueprints.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to interpret ASME and/or PED code WPS's.
  • Ability to use lifting and moving equipment as required.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Quality oriented mindset with attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
