Overview

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Athens, TN location. The ideal candidates will have experience with conveyor systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, servo powered equipment, ERP software, HMI, PLCs, robotic welders, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on conveyor systems, robotic welders, and other industrial automation equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair PLC systems and wiring.
  • Conduct machine safety inspections and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Utilize ERP software to track maintenance activities and inventory.
  • Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment using electronic, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with production control, tool room, and quality control.
  • Review and analyze production, quality maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of production problems.
  • Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunctions.
  • Consult with production personnel regarding modifications of machines and equipment.
  • Coordinate with Tool Crib Attendants and Maintenance Planner on purchase orders for tools, parts, and equipment.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and policies in the plant.
  • Complete scheduled preventative maintenance on all equipment.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping habits (5S).
  • Actively participate in Production, 5Why/RCA, and other problem-solving meetings.
  • Operate forklifts and other equipment as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Associate's degree in a related field is strongly preferred.
  • Four or more years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Three or more years of auto-supplier, steel stamping maintenance experience.
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of HMI and PLC systems.
  • Forklift licensed.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the job.

Additional Information

  • Work schedule is Sunday - Thursday 6:00pm - 2:30am or Sunday - Thursday 11:00pm - 7:30am.
  • Location: Athens, TN.
