Overview

Our client, a growing manufacturer of custom industrial equipment and material handling systems, is seeking a Welder / Fabricator to join their production team. This position is responsible for the precision fitting, alignment, and welding of mechanical equipment and structural components.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and fabrication documents
  • Measure, align, and fit components using clamps, straightedges, and precision measuring tools
  • Prepare materials and components for welding
  • Set up welding equipment according to specifications and quality requirements
  • Perform welding operations in various positions while maintaining quality standards
  • Operate angle grinders, sanders, saws, and other fabrication tools
  • Inspect completed welds for quality and accuracy
  • Follow all workplace safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment
  • Work independently and as part of a collaborative production team
  • Assist with fabrication, assembly, and other production-related tasks as needed

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently or within a team environment
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
  • Commitment to workplace safety
  • Associate's Degree in Welding, Manufacturing, or a related field
  • Welding certification from an accredited program
  • Previous welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with industrial machinery or material handling systems
