Overview

The Welding Technician III position at Collins Aerospace involves operating various welding equipment to manufacture aerospace components while adhering to safety protocols. Responsibilities

  • Operate welding, soldering, and brazing equipment to manufacture components.
  • Work from specifications, sketches, technical orders, and blueprints.
  • Perform fusion welding, salt braze, torch braze, plasma cutting, electric-arc, heli-arc, and acetylene welding processes.
  • Ensure documentation is quality compliant and traceable.
  • Perform preventative maintenance.
  • Participate in audits of processes, procedures, and work areas.
  • Move parts and materials according to normal material flow procedures.
  • Keep equipment and surroundings neat, clean, and organized.
  • Perform related duties as required.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years relevant experience.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Production welding experience preferred.
  • Experience with TIG and thin sheet aluminum welding preferred.
  • Experience in the aerospace industry preferred.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience preferred.

Additional Information

  • 2nd Shift: 3:30pm to 12am, Monday to Friday.
  • Training may take place on 1st or 2nd Shift for up to 3 months.
  • Location: US-CT-WINDSOR LOCKS-B1A ~ 1 Hamilton Rd ~ BLDG 1A.
