Overview

Valmont is a Fortune 1000 company focused on advancing agricultural productivity and infrastructure. The Structural Back Welder position involves operating a sub-arc welder to ensure quality and timely production of pole shafts.

Responsibilities

• Operate a sub-arc welder and prepare pole shafts for welding.
• Weld, grind, and repair pole shafts before inspection.
• Repair seaming defects as directed by Quality Inspectors.
• Maintain accountability and perform maintenance on welding equipment.
• Work efficiently to deliver products on time without errors.
• Participate in safety practices and adhere to Valmont safety policies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Pass an AWS welder qualification test.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment or graduation from an accredited trade school with one year of experience.
• Knowledge of welding properties of various metals and alloys.
• Thorough knowledge of welding procedures and practices.
• Ability to calculate formulas using basic mathematics and measurements.
• Familiarity with Valmont’s quality procedures and environmental policies.
• Maintain acceptable production, quality, and attendance levels after 90 days.

• Location: 25010 Alliance Dr Claremore Oklahoma 74017
• Available Shift: 2nd - Monday to Thursday 5:00pm - 3:30am; 4th - Friday to Sunday 5:00am - 5:00pm.
• Pay: $28.07/hour with a $2/hr night shift differential, increasing to $30.63/hr by 6-month anniversary.
