Overview

Westinghouse Electric Company is at the forefront of nuclear energy innovation, seeking a Welder Technician based in Chaponnay, France. The role involves assembly, installation, and modification of equipment, requiring mobility for various assignments in France and occasionally abroad.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly, installation, and modification of equipment according to operational procedures.
  • Understand the constraints and materials involved in welding tasks.
  • Prepare and verify welding equipment and ensure calibration.
  • Execute welding tasks following established procedures and maintain cleanliness.
  • Check the conformity of welding parameters and visually inspect welds.
  • Document intervention details, including tracking sheets and parameter records.

Requirements

  • General or technical training (CAP/BEP or BAC Pro in welding).
  • At least 2 years of experience in the industry, particularly in piping or boiler making, with certification.
  • English proficiency is an asset.
  • Valid driving license (Permis B) required.
  • Non-inaptitude category A and B required (DATR).
  • Nuclear certifications (SCN, CSQ, RP) are a plus.
  • Forklift license and CACES are a plus.
  • Proficient in manual TIG welding on stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum.

Additional Information

  • Position requires mobility for assignments lasting from weeks to months, primarily in France and occasionally abroad.
  • Work may include weekends, holidays, night shifts, and on-call duties.
