Responsibilities

• Produce quality work to prescribed standards with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Follow written work instructions.
• Work under minimal supervision on non-routine tasks, adapting procedures and techniques as needed.
• Perform detailed tasks requiring deeper knowledge and experience.
• Communicate effectively with other functional departments.
• Resolve most questions and problems, referring complex issues to higher levels.
• Serve as a resource for resolving complex problems.
• Demonstrate good decision-making ability and be a self-starter.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety procedures.
• Properly use required PPE.
• Assist in orienting and training lower-level employees.
• Participate in LEAN Events and action teams.
• Support and communicate the mission, values, and culture of the organization.
• Understand and perform various welding processes on applicable metals.
• Weld with proficiency to meet various codes and specifications.
• Perform material preparation and set-up for process requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
• Coordinate communication regarding production processes with other departments.
• Perform visual inspections of weldments for compliance.
• Conduct daily and weekly maintenance on all equipment.
• Share technical requirements and safety information with peers.
• Perform all aspects of inspection as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in welding.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
