Overview

The Welder position at Siemens Energy involves the assembly, welding, and rework of industrial gas and steam turbine components with minimal supervision, ensuring compliance with manufacturing and customer specifications. Responsibilities

  • Perform precision TIG and laser welding on industrial gas and steam turbine components.
  • Support production goals by assembling, repairing, and reworking components.
  • Interpret work travelers, blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering instructions.
  • Prepare, inspect, polish, and weld components using appropriate materials and techniques.
  • Conduct visual inspections and evaluate completed welds for conformance.
  • Maintain a safe and productive work environment by setting up and troubleshooting welding equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED, plus completion of a certified welding program or two years of equivalent hands-on TIG welding experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in one or more welding processes, including TIG, MIG, and/or Arc.
  • Proven ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot welding equipment.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Experience working with specialized materials such as castings and nickel alloys.
  • Commitment to quality and continuous improvement, including passing required welding certification tests.

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG and TIG work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle.
