Overview

Covestro is a company focused on refining chemical material solutions with innovative products. The Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the reliability of complex mechanical equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain specialized mechanical equipment.
  • Perform routine planned maintenance work and write detailed equipment repair reports.
  • Perform emergency work related to safety, production, and quality.
  • Provide direction and guidance to General Contractor personnel as required.
  • Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical equipment and assist in maintenance analysis.
  • Implement equipment and systems upgrades and modifications.
  • Provide 24/7 maintenance support coverage for production facilities.
  • Complete millwright program per training.
  • Fulfill all regulatory training requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of mechanical maintenance experience and NCCER certification OR 5+ years of mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Eligibility to apply for and obtain a Transportation Worker Identification.
  • NCCER certification preferred.
  • Electronic/technical training preferred.
  • Ability to read basic mechanical drawings or piping.
  • Experience in a chemical factory is preferred.
