Overview

The IVA Technician III is responsible for advanced pneumatic and electric actuator valve assembly, requiring prior automated valve assembly experience and proficiency in mechanical skills. The role involves complex assembly tasks, troubleshooting, and ensuring quality and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Expert-level pneumatic and electric actuator valve assembly including tubing.
  • Setting stops and limit switches.
  • Positioner setup and solenoid tubing for electric actuator valve assembly.
  • Setting torque, limit switches, and testing.
  • Handling complex assembly tasks and advanced troubleshooting.
  • Leading projects to improve assembly processes and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Extensive automated valve assembly experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED and at least 6 years’ industry experience.
  • Meets all Technician II qualifications and requirements.
  • Successful completion of Automated Valve Assembly Level III Written and Performance Test.
  • Successful completion of required training outlined in the technician certification program.
  • Successful completion of all applicable Quality Standardization Procedures.
  • Mastery of valve assembly according to company standards.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in lapping, testing, applicable codes, and standards.
  • Advanced mechanical and mathematical skills, and ability to use measurement equipment.
  • Familiar with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and able to recognize a contaminated valve.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in automated valve assembly testing, applicable codes, and standards.
  • Advanced understanding of air supply pressure and input signals (3-15# and 4-20 mA).
  • Basic OSHA and TWIC card (TWIC, only if required).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with customers.
  • Demonstrate a 'can do' attitude and excellent customer service skills.
  • Follow Quality Standardization Procedures for all aspects of the valve assembly and testing process.
  • Recognition of missing parts.
  • Mastery of valve repair according to company standards.
  • Advanced knowledge of various shop equipment.
  • Minimal supervision required.
  • Ability to travel and have a clear driving record.
  • Must clear background check and drug/alcohol screening.
