Overview

Fluor is committed to designing and building projects and careers in a collaborative work environment. The Associate Design Engineer I in Pipeline Engineering will apply design engineering principles to support projects and enhance Fluor's competitiveness in the global marketplace.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and check routine calculations, specify simple equipment, and solve problems of simple engineering complexity.
  • Review vendor equipment documentation for compliance with project requirements and seek discrepancy resolution.
  • Participate in equipment and material procurement activities.
  • Adhere to industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures.
  • Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity.
  • Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks effectively and timely.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Accredited four (4) year Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Pipeline, or global equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
