Overview

AnySignal is developing next-generation RF products and services for demanding space and defense missions. They are hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer to own the mechanical design of space radios, ensuring high-performance RF hardware can survive launch and operate reliably in orbit.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical design of space radio enclosures and chassis from concept to qualification.
• Design the thermal path and run hot- and cold-case analysis for vacuum operation.
• Perform structural analysis including static, modal, and random vibration FEA.
• Plan and run environmental qualification campaigns including test plans and fixture design.
• Select materials and processes appropriate for the space environment.
• Produce manufacturing-ready drawing packages with GD&T to ASME Y14.5.
• Partner with RF and PCB engineers on SWaP trades and mechanical interfaces.
• Own mechanical interface control documents with customers and integrators.
• Lead mechanical content at design reviews and ensure documentation control.
• Establish mechanical engineering practices and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• 6+ years of mechanical design experience, including hardware qualified for flight.
• Expert-level CAD skills, preferably in SolidWorks, with detailed drawings to ASME Y14.5.
• Demonstrated ownership of thermal design for vacuum environments.
• Experience in structural analysis and FEA for random vibration and shock.
• Direct ownership of at least one environmental qualification campaign.
• Strong DFM instincts for precision machining and sheet metal.
• Ability to make decisions on incomplete requirements and communicate with stakeholders.
