Overview

Deem Structural Services is an AISC Certified Steel Erector focused on new construction and expansion projects in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana. They are seeking experienced Structural Steel Erectors for various positions, emphasizing safety and quality standards in their work.

Responsibilities

  • Follow prints and instructions for layout, rigging, connecting, bolting, and welding steel.
  • Drill holes into steel.
  • Bolt or weld pieces in place.
  • Tighten cables.
  • Read and follow blueprints, sketches, and other instructions.
  • Operate Forklift (10K-12K), Boom Lift (40-185'), and Scissor Lift (19-35').
  • Use radio and hand signals.
  • Identify safety risks and implement precautions to eliminate those risks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or its equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience in structural steel erection.
  • Ability to work at heights and in various temperatures.
  • Must be able to lift 70lbs and withstand the physical demands of erecting steel.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
