Overview

The Welder/Fitter position offers a chance to forge a future with training during the day shift and earning a premium for second shift work. This role involves fitting and welding structural steel components while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Fit and weld structural steel components using blueprints and weld symbols.
  • Perform MIG welding to meet quality and production standards.
  • Measure, cut, and grind materials for proper fit-up.
  • Inspect welds and finished parts for accuracy and strength.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Requirements

  • Must be able to pass both a written weld test and a hands-on (manual) weld test.
  • Proven experience as a welder/fitter, preferably with structural steel.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
  • Basic math and measuring skills required.
  • Applicant may be subject to a background check.
  • Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment.
