Job Description
Overview
The Welder position on the 1st shift in Hastings, NE involves welding, repairing, and preparing mechanical components using various welding techniques according to technical specifications and safety standards. This role is offered through a staffing supplier with a temp-to-hire contract.
Responsibilities
- Execute welds and operate conventional lathes.
- Interpret blueprints and complete repairs or heat treatments.
- Inspect completed work and track data.
- Troubleshoot issues and meet output and scrap targets.
- Follow safety rules and maintain tools.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues.
Requirements
- Welder certification.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1-2+ years of experience.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long hours.
- Willingness to work overtime on short notice.
- Preferred experience in mechanical manufacturing or valves.
- PT/MT certifications and basic SAP knowledge are preferred.

- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 1st Shift from 5:30 am to 4 pm.
