Valmont is a Fortune 1000 company that focuses on advancing agricultural productivity and reimagining vital infrastructure to create a sustainable future. The Robotic Welder position involves operating robotic welders, diagnosing malfunctions, and ensuring quality in the welding process.

Responsibilities

• Adjust and operate robotic welders.
• Diagnose malfunctions on automated systems.
• Inspect and measure work pieces to verify conformance to specifications.
• Operate and diagnose production tooling and material handling devices.
• Weld production, prototype, and new product designs.
• Assist in training lesser trained welders.
• Make program changes to robotic welders and understand automated welding systems.
• Recognize poor quality welds and take corrective action.
• Account for labor, move tags, and parts produced while providing quality checks.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and management.
• Perform housekeeping duties on equipment and the work site.
• Complete set-up of equipment to meet required specifications.
• Safely load and unload work cells.
• Accurately use and read a tape measure and other tools.

Requirements

• Minimum one year of welding and part fit-up experience.
• Ability to demonstrate hands-on gas metal arc welding.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Understanding of AWS symbols.
• Ability to read a tape measure and blueprints.
• Willingness to work over ten hours a week in overtime.
• Robotics computer knowledge in software and hardware applications.
• Attention to detail with high accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
