Position Title: TIG Welder Wage: $30.00-$35.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: TBD 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday We are seeking an experienced Welder to perform TIG, MIG, and Stick welding on a variety of metal alloys, castings, and manufactured components. The ideal candidate will have hands-on welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, foundry, or industrial environment and be comfortable setting up welding equipment, reading specifications, inspecting welds, and completing weld repairs. This position is ideal for a welder with experience in TIG welding, casting repair, production welding, weld inspection, and welding equipment setup. TIG Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Perform TIG, MIG, and Stick welding on a variety of metals, alloys, castings, and manufactured components - Set up, adjust, and operate welding machines and equipment according to job specifications - Perform TIG welding and weld repairs on metal castings and other components - Prepare and position components for welding according to drawings, specifications, and work instructions - Read and follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), work instructions, blueprints, and verbal/written directions - Weld and repair components while maintaining proper weld quality and production standards - Perform visual inspection of welds and finished components to identify defects, cracks, porosity, incomplete welds, or other quality issues - Complete required quality checks, inspections, certifications, and production documentation - Record production quantities, scrap, defects, rework, and other required information - Work with Engineering on Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR) - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area - Follow all safety, quality, housekeeping, and production procedures - Assist with training and mentoring new employees when needed - Maintain dependable attendance and meet production requirements TIG Welder Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent preferred - 1+ year of professional welding experience; or welding training/certification from a technical school or institute - AWS Certified Welder certification preferred - NADCAP welding experience preferred - Hands-on experience with TIG welding required - Experience with MIG and/or Stick welding preferred - Experience welding in a manufacturing, fabrication, foundry, or industrial environment preferred - Ability to set up and adjust welding equipment - Ability to inspect welds and identify common welding defects - Ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and welding procedures - Experience working with WPS and PQR documentation is a plus - Experience in any of the following may be considered: TIG Welder, TIG Welding, MIG Welder, MIG Welding, Stick Welding, SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, Production Welder, Manufacturing Welder, Welding Fabricator, Foundry Welder, Casting Welder, Weld Repair, Casting Repair, Aluminum Welding, Stainless Steel Welding, Carbon Steel, Metal Fabrication, Weld Inspection, WPS, PQR, AWS Certified Welder, NADCAP - Ability to stand and work for extended periods - Ability to safely handle welding equipment, tools, and materials - Ability to perform repetitive welding and inspection tasks - Ability to follow safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) - Ability to work in a manufacturing/foundry environment IND999 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
