Overview

Turner Industries is a fully diversified industrial contractor headquartered in Baton Rouge, LA, with over 20,000 employees across the United States. They are seeking Combination Welders in the Pasadena, TX area to help assemble structural forms and components.

Responsibilities

  • Lay out, fit, and weld fabricated, cast, and forged components.
  • Assemble structural forms such as tanks, pressure vessels, and building parts.
  • Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding.
  • Bolt, clamp, tack weld parts to secure them for welding.
  • Set up equipment and weld parts using various processes.
  • Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
  • Use cutting torch to cut materials and demo existing assemblies.

Requirements

  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in specified skill.
  • Written pre-employment qualification test.
  • Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
  • Hazard Communication orientation/test.
  • Turner Industries Group, LLC indoctrination.
  • OSHA approved corrective eyewear (Z87).
  • Job site orientation.
  • Job site safety requirements as required by the client.

Additional Information

  • No per diem; ideal for candidates local to the area.
  • 40-50 hours plus; schedules subject to change depending on location.
  • Must pass weld test and safety council.
  • Must be available to work under fresh air.
  • Drug test and employment physical required.
