Overview

Maintenance Technicians are responsible for keeping machines in good working condition to enhance efficiency and prevent malfunctions. They perform diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety and maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage work orders in L2L, conducting necessary maintenance or repairs as needed.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
  • Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service.
  • Conduct basic electrical troubleshooting, including replacement of three-phase motors.
  • Install equipment and piping; set up production lines.
  • Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic devices and hydraulic systems.
  • Rebuild gearboxes and drives.
  • Repair and troubleshoot filling lines.
  • Repair machines, equipment, or structures using various tools and equipment.
  • Maintain constant communication with Plant Management regarding any maintenance issues.
  • Assist in the setup and teardown of machines and equipment at the beginning and end of shifts.
  • Liaise with Production and Quality departments to ensure the highest level of quality is achieved.
  • Provide feedback to the Management team to share ideas and improve operations.
  • Recommend, support, and implement continuous improvement activities.
  • Use reference resources such as workbooks and drawings to discover the cause of a problem.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and determine appropriate controls for safety-related issues.
  • Demonstrate a general understanding of industrial safety practices and regulations.
  • Actively participate on the Safety Committee.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) sessions in problem-solving projects.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
  • Maintain high standards of tidiness and organization in line with good 5S practice.
  • Support, comply, and ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and Company policies.
  • Follow all Food Safety/Quality Policies established at the facility.
