Overview

Join Medical Murray as an Engineering Intern in the Summer of 2027 and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to transforming healthcare through medical device innovation. This Co-op/internship offers a unique opportunity to apply your engineering skills in real-world projects focused on the development of life-saving medical devices.

Responsibilities

  • Follow the Quality Management System and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure compliance with all projects.
  • Engage in the development and engineering of disposable medical devices from concept to production.
  • Participate in hands-on product and process development, including the design and prototyping of catheters and other disposable products.
  • Utilize SolidWorks to design devices and construct prototypes in the laboratory.
  • Collaborate on designing catheter-based delivery systems for various medical disciplines.
  • Support the acquisition, setup, and qualification of new equipment and contribute to preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and customers about project status and issues.
  • Prepare and assist in product development and quality planning, including project schedules and resource allocation.
  • Participate in feasibility and reliability testing plans for catheter systems.
  • Assist in the development of pilot and manufacturing equipment and procedures.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Familiarity with disposable design and development, materials knowledge, and prototyping is a plus.
  • Experience with SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software is preferred.
