Overview: Responsible for Welding (TIG and Laser) components with varying thicknesses from .040” to .25”.
Key Responsibilities
Perform quality welds using TIG and/or Laser processes. Knowledge of metals and characteristics of different alloys. Read and understand blueprints and welding callouts in designs. Use various measuring methods and tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and scales. Operate manual welding equipment and flame-cutting equipment such as oxyacetylene torch or similar for cutting, heating, or brazing. Conduct assessments to verify critical weld requirements are met. Understand fixturing and use of tools to achieve proper fitment of parts prior to welding. Proper use of all necessary safety protocols and personal protective equipment Communicate effectively to work in a team environment to ensure safe and efficient work and help drive continual improvement.

Education Requirements
Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical/Mental Requirements
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. The employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

One element in our total compensation package is base pay. The starting base pay for this role is $20 - $30 per hour.
