Overview

Responsibilities
- Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly.
- Weld together metal components of products such as piping systems, plates, pipes, and structural shapes as specified.
- Plan installation or repair to avoid obstructions and interference with other workers.
- Secure pipes to structure using brackets, clamps, and hangers with hand and power tools.
- Weld in any direction – flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of pipe combo welding in an industrial construction setting.
- OSHA 10 preferred, AWS certified preferred.
- Must have a locking tool box and tools necessary to perform the job.
- Must be able to successfully complete all required pre-hire requirements.
- This assignment is 100% x-ray inspection of welds.
Additional Information
- Provide OSHA 10 card and/or obtain OSHA 10 within 30 days of hire.
- Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 45 pounds.
- Work up to a 12-hour shift in varying temperature extremes and other outside conditions.
- Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.
- PPE footwear/prescription safety glasses or eye shields required.
