Overview

This position is a Direct Hire Authority solicitation for a Welder responsible for the fabrication, modification, repair, assembly, and installation of various metal and alloy parts and structures, including dredges and towboats.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, modify, repair, assemble, and install various types of metal and alloy parts.
  • Work on equipment and structures such as dredges, towboats, barges, and cranes.

Requirements

  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.

Additional Information

  • The duty location is wherever the Dredge Jadwin is located.
  • Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
  • Selection is subject to restrictions from the Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
  • Permanent Change of Station (PCS) allowances may be authorized.
