Job Description

Overview

We are currently seeking experienced Aluminum Fabricators for shipyard work at Ameri-Force. Candidates should have previous shipyard experience and hands-on experience with aluminum fabrication and MIG-Pulse aluminum welding.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, fit, and weld aluminum components used in ship construction.
  • Perform MIG-Pulse welding on aluminum in multiple positions.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, weld symbols, and specifications.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and prepare aluminum material for fabrication and welding.
  • Inspect fit-up and completed work for proper dimensions and quality.
  • Use grinders, measuring tools, and other fabrication equipment as required.
  • Follow all shipyard safety procedures and welding requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of shipyard experience required.
  • Previous aluminum fabrication and welding experience.
  • Strong MIG-Pulse aluminum welding experience.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and fabrication drawings.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding shipyard environment.
  • Must be able to successfully complete required weld testing.
