Overview
Hadrian is building autonomous factories to reindustrialize America by combining AI, advanced software, robotics, and full-stack manufacturing. The R&D Welding Technician role is central to ramping new welding capabilities, involving hands-on work with various welding processes in a fast-moving R&D environment.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and weld qualification test articles and large structural assemblies.
- Perform hand welding using both laser and arc processes.
- Set up and execute orbital tube welding operations to spec.
- Operate and support robotic welding cells, including setup and troubleshooting.
- Read and build to engineering drawings, weld symbols, and GD&T, and maintain build documentation.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with hand welding, both laser and arc processes.
- Experience with orbital tube welding.
- Experience operating robotic welding equipment.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, weld symbols, and GD&T.
- Comfort operating in an ambiguous, first-of-a-kind R&D environment.
