Overview

Valmont is a Fortune 1000 company that impacts millions globally through technology aimed at enhancing agricultural productivity and infrastructure. They are seeking skilled Machine Operator Welders for their Brenham team, offering a hands-on production career with competitive pay and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Comply 100% with PPE requirements and participate in department safety.
  • Operate hydraulic driven equipment.
  • Use shop manufacturing math for measurements and calculations.
  • Perform operator preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Safely use overhead crane for product positioning.
  • Follow directives from Production Supervisor and Lead Person.
  • Perform routing machine operations.
  • Maintain certifications for 1G and 2G v-groove welding using GMAW.
  • Control material flow throughout the shop.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read and write English.
  • Must pass the Valmont endorsed 1G and 2G flat weld certification test.
  • Three to six months of previous hands-on welding experience.
  • Proficient in math including fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to accurately read a measuring tape.
  • High awareness for safety at all times.
  • Positive communication and interaction with coworkers.
  • Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Must have passion and integrity with a drive to excel.

Additional Information

  • Day Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM.
  • Additional hours may be required based on business needs.
